Modulseam Can Seamer
A rotary can seamer that closes aluminium beverage cans with monitored seam dimensions, designed for craft breweries that cannot afford a leaker.

Two-roll seaming explained
The can is lifted into the chuck, the lid is pressed on, then a first-operation roll forms the hook and a second-operation roll tightens the seam to the target thickness. Roll pressure and chuck height are the two settings that decide whether the seam holds pressure, and both are locked and recorded per format on this machine.
Inline seam vision
A camera measures seam thickness, width and cover hook on every can. Out-of-tolerance cans are rejected by an air blast before they reach the packer, so a drifting roll does not turn into a pallet of leakers.
Pre-purge for oxygen-sensitive beer
An optional CO2 pre-purge station displaces air from the headspace before seaming. Combined with a short transfer from the filler, total package oxygen stays under 30 ppb, which is the practical threshold for hoppy beers to hold aroma for three months.
Typical Applications
- Craft breweries adding cans — The 2,000 CPH frame fits a 500-2,000 hl per year brewery and runs from a mobile skid without a dedicated line.
- Breweries running multiple can formats — Change parts for 330 ml and 500 ml swap in under 15 minutes; seam recipes are stored per format.
- Contract canning operations — The 12,000 CPH four-head frame supports third-party canning where changeover speed and leaker rate decide margin.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a separate depalletiser?
For under 6,000 cans per hour, cans can be loaded from a magazine by hand. Above that, an automatic depalletiser and twist rinser are recommended.
How often must seams be checked?
The inline vision covers every can. A manual tear-down check is still recommended at the start of each shift and after any roll adjustment.
Can it handle 202 CDL ends?
Yes, with the appropriate chuck and roll set. Specify the end type when ordering so the correct tooling ships with the machine.
